Sometimes it’s just too hot to be outdoors taking photos, so today we played indoors and brought out some accessories for the dogs; it turned out to be an awesome session!  So many sweet and beautiful dogs at the Benton Franklin Humane Society are waiting for a forever home, stop by and visit them; better yet take one or two for a walk! The weather is getting nicer and these dogs are inside all day, believe me it will make you feel so good to get…  I photographed this photo of Cappie at the Benton Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, WA. He has been at the shelter for approximately four months, he’s got the greatest smile and a personality to match. I’ve been photographing the pets at the BFHS for the past three years with the hope that my photos of…  Lots and lots of catching up to do after the holidays; unfortunately the business of finding new homes for homeless animals never slows down, not even for Christmas. I photographed nineteen kittens and puppies yesterday, for two different rescues; and I hope to photograph some more of the weekend. Here’s some of the cuties I…  All of these cat & kitten photos were taken at the Benton Franklin Humane Society; Some of these kittens and cats are still available.  Lots and lots of kittens available at the humane society. This is Wonton and he was adopted the day after his photo was taken. He was quite the little poser! Bingo is one of two four month old black bunnies available at the humane society.  I met Purdy, a two and a half year old lab mix yesterday at the Benton Franklin Humane Society. I’m not sure why she pulled this face, maybe I was boring her, she’s a good girl needing a forever home. This gorgeous cat showed up at my pet-sitting clients’ doorstep one day and stayed….  This weeks session at the Benton Franklin Humane Society brought us a new batch of hopeful pets looking for their forever home. I know Ellie’s in there somewhere. I love Sultana’s looks, and her name!  It’s bad enough when any pet is brought into the shelter but, when it’s a senior, a pet that has been with the family for many years… it’s especially sad. I do notice that mostly they are very nervous and confused when Mike Kloth and I are taking their photos for the Petfinder website; what…  I wanted to adopt one of the guys so bad – I have a thing for blue-eyed cats! Plus they’ve got amazing markings, I wonder how they will look when they are all grown up?  We met two very handsome guys today, Smokey and David. David is a pug/min-pin mix. Here’s Smokey, his family is heartbroken that they had to give him up due to the family’s medical situation, they are unable to afford keeping him. He was just brought in to the humane society yesterday and he seemed rather…  Lily was dumped/tossed at the Benton Franklin Humane Society, she’s got abrasions on her legs to prove it. She was found hiding underneath one of the humane society’s trucks when workers arrived in the morning. It hasn’t effected her outgoing and charming personality at all though, she’s a sweetie.  A year ago Finnegan was rescued from Tri-City Animal Control in Pasco, WA. This year he’s in a happy home and is featured on two pages (!) of a new book titled “Shelter Cats” by local photographer and friend Michael Kloth. It’s a beautiful book with gorgeous photos of all kinds of cats, all photographed…  Pets needing new homes, sadly it never ends. Here are just a few pets looking for their forever homes that I had the pleasure of photographing last week.  This weeks shoot features cats and kittens with the most gorgeous eyes ever! I think cats have amazing eyes anyway but, this week they were outstanding! These kittens are going to grow into some beautiful animals and they can be found at the Benton Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick. We also photographed a 7 month… |
